Several months ago, I received a call from gray’s mommy.  She wanted to schedule a newborn session, and so we did.  When I showed up for our session we both realized - for the very first time - that we had actually known each other years ago in college!  Such a small world.

He is perfection. 

I have never had a more peaceful newborn than Gray, and I’m convinced his big sister, who passed away last year, was whispering to him the entire time.  In fact, his nursery wall reads “An angel watches over you . . . her wings wrap gently around you, whispering you are loved and blessed.”  And he is.

After only a little more than 3 hours and 40 minutes here, Baby Amelia ascended into Heaven at 3:50 p.m. yesterday.

I was blessed with the opportunity to photograph an absolute beauty today.  Baby Amelia was born with Trisomy 18, a devastating, fatal genetic mutation.  I spent over three hours photographing every detail of this sweet little girl I could capture.  I will post images soon.

I’ve known their mommy, Julie, since we were in law school. Julie has always had the most gorgeous eyes. Now she has these two beauties (who also happen to have to-die-for eyes)! They never had a chance to be anything but perfect!!

Such serious faces, but W and C were full of smiles for our session!  Mom and Dad get the first look at those.

 i’m just back from a too-short weekend at the beach with my family, and i had to post a couple of the images i captured while there!  these are more for comic relief than anything - i hope you enjoy them as much as i have.

i can’t say i meant for this first one to be a bit blurry, but it is fitting!  olivia is just learning to walk, and she was stumbling toward me when i snapped the shot.  she’s proud of herself for walking, but most of all she loves the attention she’s getting in my mom’s wig.

the second image is her with her true love, eeyore.  she’s never without him for long.
